Frequently Asked Questions
-
Personal training offers LIVE sessions with me. I am there to guide you through your workout, offer coaching and feedback, and cheer you on, all in real-time during our live zoom sessions. This is great for folks who thrive with face-to-face interaction, want immediate feedback and support, and like having the accountability of showing up at a dedicated time.
Remote Coaching does not have the live session component but I’m still with you every step of the way. Your fitness plan is delivered straight to your phone and I’m just a message away any time you have questions or need support. You still get feedback and coaching from me, by submitting form check videos and filling out weekly check-ins as well as an optional monthly call. This is great when you want to workout on YOUR schedule and still have a coach in your back pocket.

Not at all! Beginners are my specialty! I work with folks that have never touched a dumbbell before and I work with folks that are seasoned gym rats - and everyone in between!
-
Nope! We can use whatever you have at home! While some equipment can be helpful, it is not required to get started.
As we go along, I’m happy to help guide you in picking some additional equipment if you’re interested.

After you apply, I’ll review your application and if we’re a good fit, you’ll receive an email to let you know your application has been accepted along with a link to schedule a quick call so we can meet each other, answer your questions, and make sure you are set up with the membership that best fits your needs and goals.

You can choose between 1 month, 3 month, or 6 month commitment lengths.
Most folks start with 3 months!
As much as the fitness industry wants us to believe, real lasting results aren’t made through 30 day challenges or 21 day fixes.
Progressing in fitness simply takes time and 3 months is usually the minimum time to make solid progress towards your goals! I want you to feel successful and get the most out of the investment you’re making in yourself!
-
No refunds are given during your commitment, but in the last month you’ll have the chance to renew, switch, or cancel your membership!
-
Instead of meeting in person at a gym, we meet virtually via Zoom! You get the same expert guidance as you would in person but with the bonus of being able to work out at home!
-
Most virtual personal training clients opt to do their sessions at home! This gives you the most control over your immediate environment (and wifi!)
Some clients choose to use their apartment or office gyms instead.
I don’t recommend doing virtual personal training in a busy gym setting as there are too many variables (internet connection, noise, equipment, awareness of space and other people, etc).
If you have a gym membership and prefer to workout there, 1:1 Remote Coaching is the program I recommend. You can learn more here

My availability for training sessions is weekdays from 9am - 5pm PT. If you want to work with me but my hours do not align with your schedule, I highly recommend Remote Fitness Coaching as this allows you to workout on your schedule but still get all the benefits of having a coach in your corner.

Not at this time. Virtual personal training isn’t for everyone but I’ve found it can feel less intimidating and more comfortable than a gym environment for many folks. It also offers more flexibility with scheduling and saves YOU time as there’s no commute to and from the gym. Best of all, you don’t have to be local to work with me!

I am not a powerlifting coach nor do I coach olympic lifts. And while I’m not a running coach, I have worked with many runners to help them incorporate more strength training into their routines!
Most importantly I do not coach intentional weight loss though it can still absolutely be a goal of yours! This simply means we focus on goals and health-promoting behaviors outside of weight loss!
